Hi, and welcome to The Hackney Trainer, My name is Carole O’Leary, and I’m a fully qualified personal trainer living and helping clients just like you in the Victoria Park, London Fields, Clissold Park, Hackney Downs, Millfields, Springfield Park, Shoreditch Park, Well St Common, all across Hackney and surrounding areas.
My clients have a varied lifestyle and are all ages and sexes. But they do tend to have one thing in common: they hate the gym!
Luckily for them – and you – so do I. That’s why 100% of my training is held outside of those sweaty, competitive, testosterone-fueled cages.
My favourite place to train is in local parks, but I’m also delighted to work with clients in their home or workplace.
I offer individual or group training, and I insist we have fun whilst working towards your goals. If you’d like to try a new way of getting fit – one that involves having fun and not being confined in the gym – then take a look around my site, and drop me a line when you’re ready to start.
And of course, if you’ve got any questions, do please give me a call or send me an email. You’ll find my contact details here.
I’ve never been a ‘Gym Bunny’ (never looked particularly fetching in pink Lycra). So to keep fit, healthy and sane I have dabbled in different outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, touch rugby, netball, swimming, surfing, kite surfing, canoeing, cycling and running. Not all at once of course, and dependant on the country I’m in at the time.
Most importantly, I have always believed training with other people to be much more motivating and rewarding than training alone. Quite simply because it’s more fun and sociable that way, and so it doesn’t feel like a “work out” or a chore.
Personally, I’ve also found that having a challenge to work to helps, hence I’ve completed the 3 peaks challenge, numerous 5k’s & 10k’s, half marathons, and a marathon. The next challenge will be a multi-sport event I think. . .
Loving the great outdoors, London and not being chained to a desk, I decided to make a career change and have now become a qualified Level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer through YMCAfit.
And now I’m helping to motivate and encourage people just like you to take up a challenge or enjoy exercise in a new way – not in the sweaty confines of a gym.
