Coffee Run members complete their first 5k

The six weeks 5k training plan pays off

Members of the first Coffee Run complete their first ever 5k last Saturday as part of the Hackney marshes Parkrun.

After just 6 weeks of training the group managed to complete the 5k in 32.04 minutes without having to stop!!!

A long way from the first day of the Coffee Run training programme when the group was introduced to running by starting with a one minute jog followed by a one minute walk repeated 10 times. . . which they found challenging as many had not run since school.

Well done, I hope your very proud of yourselves and looking forward to training you again to beat that time on 26th May when the second Coffee Run Group will be taking part in the Hackney Marshes 5k.
